We left Spartanburg this afternoon and headed northwards for the MLA convention in Philly. We decided to divide the trip up into two days. Betty was a great little traveler today, sleeping most of the time. Right now we're at a Best Western at King's Dominion outside of Richmond. It's the off season, so it's just us and the snowbirds. Betty's never been in a motel before. And we haven't all slept in a room together since July or so. Right now it's about 2 hours past Betty's bedtime and she's having a ball in her pack n' play. This could be a long night.

King of the Road
