I'm starting to see little glimmers of toddlerhood in Betty as she expresses frustration in ways other than crying--slapping at my arm when I take something from her, for example. Sometimes I don't know why she's upset. I took this pic as she was getting really really mad at Bone for some unknown reason. Maybe she was jealous because he was in the stroller and she was not. Maybe she's mad that the power company shut off the power to our new house and then was eight hours late coming back to fix it. Or maybe she heard about the continued billing problems we're having with Centra Southside Community Hospital. Facts and patience aren't working. I might try out the rhetoric of toddlerhood to see if it gets us anywhere.
