Home sweet home! The baby currently living in the farmhouse is not the same baby who left for Spartanburg back on December 20. This new baby can pull up on things. We put this gate up before Betty was born in order to keep the dog out of the nursery, and we now find it useful to keep the baby in. She can't be still for a moment, and changing her diaper has become a two man job. One person holds her down while the other puts on the diaper. Those of you who think Betty does nothing but smile ought to see the wailing and gnashing of teeth that occurs during diaper changes. In other news: I turned in my dissertation, Betty turned 7 months old, and today is the last day that I will be using my trusty breast pump. These events are tangetially related. Big day.
